 | The Stanleyville Brewery, Brastan (Unibra), was incorporated on June 8, 1949. Auxilacs of the Empain Group was one of the main shareholders. The brewery built in Stanleyville was inaugurated at the end of 1951. It produced Stanor beer, a fresh and pleasant pilsner beer. For the end-of-year celebrations, it also brewed a special dark Christmas-style beer, much appreciated. In 1960, the UNIBRA< /a> which merges the four Congolese breweries, namely the brewery of Stanleyville, the brewery of Kasaï< /a>, the Bas-Congo brewery and the Paulis brewery.
