1842 Edouard Caulier establishes his brewery in Neufville, near Soignies. In 1855 he acquires the Brasserie du Pont de Londres in Mons, which he entrusts management to his son Edmond. Faced with the growing importance of the Mons brewery , father and son changed places and Edouard moved to Mons with his family. Edmond bought a brewery in Brussels in addition to that in Neufville. He bought the Mons brewery on the death of his brother Antoine who had inherited it. When Edmond died in 1893, his children continued to operate the three breweries under the name Brasserie Caulier frères.
