In 1926, the mayor William Grisard, created a new bottling company SA Cristal Chaudfontaine which moved to the right bank of the Vesdre. In 1950, the Cristal Chaudfontaine company signed an agreement with the town granting the bottling exclusivity and becomes SA Chaudfontaine-Monopole. In 1962, the company was taken over by the Piedboeuf de Jupille group. In 1988, Jupiler and Chaudfontaine are integrated into the Louvanist Interbrew group. In 1997, the Chaudfontaine-Monopole company was bought by an Iranian-American businessman, Abbas Bayat, and separated from the Interbrew group. In February 1999, Chaudfontaine buys Sunnyland Belgium (which has a production site in Turnhout) and Sunnyland France from the American group McCain. On June 1, 2003, Coca-Cola Belgium from The Coca-Cola Company group acquires Chaudfontaine and develops the site while retaining the brand. Commercial Register R.C.
