1939 Creation of the Dendria brewery by Clement Vanderhaegen. His son André succeeds him. 1963 Purchased by the De Gheest brewery which resells it to Whitbread which will use it only to be used for the bottling of its own beers. In 1967, the brewery is closed, the activity being taken over by the depot of Mechelen. In 1970, opposite the High cost of transporting beer from England to Belgium, the Onkerzele brewery is reopened to directly brew Whitbread Stout and Campbell's Scotch . Fr 1976, Whitbread acquires control of the Martinas brewery in Merchtem and transfers all its production there. The brewery then ceases its activities and is closed the following year.
