Duk' Eau SA
Francorchamps
localisation brasserieIt was in 1958 that Mr. Dukerts, an industrialist from Verviers, discovered a spring in his property located at the exit of Francorchamps, along the road leading to Ster, at a place called "Les Favanges". This water, called "Duk Water", was subsequently marketed. Initially, bottling facilities were built on the property, not far from the villa. Later, after the discovery of a second source, a more modern bottling plant was built off the property. In 1980, 18,000 bottles were produced every day.
In 1987, Piedboeuf acquired the Duk'Eau brand.
For several years, Francorchamptoise water has belonged to an American-Iranian businessman, Abbas Bayat.
In 2011, under the weight of the snow, the roof of the small factory collapsed and all activity ceased. Since then, a dispute has opposed the owner to his insurance, so that the spring water will be lost in the waters of the Rohon stream which flows in the valley!
The company is taken over by Chaudfontaine.
