localisation brasserieCreated in 1971, Gini was part of the Compagnie d'Exploitation des Boissons Rafraîchissantes, a subsidiary of the Perrier group also including Oasis or Bali.
The franchise for Belgium and Luxembourg is granted to the brewery Bosteels which creates the company Gini Benelux Company (Gibeco) in Buggenhout.

The subsidiary is sold to the Cadbury Schweppes group in 1990 and Gini joins the beverage division of the group, Cadbury Schweppes European Beverages, alongside Schweppes, or Orangina and Pampryl, acquired a year later.
Gini is currently part of the Orangina Schweppes group, owned by the Japanese Suntory. It is only marketed in France and Belgium by Schweppes Suntory .
