 | 1906 Leon Huyghe buys a brewery in Melle which he names Brouwerij-Mouterij Den Appel. 1936 Brouwerij Leaon Huyghe PVBA. Takes over in 1993 the brewery Biertoren in Kampenhout is resumed and closed but its specialty beers (Aarchotse Bruine, Campus, Campus Gold et Biertoren) continue to be produced in Melle. In 1994, the Damy brewery in Olsene is taken over and closed and the production of the Saint-Idesbald moves to Melle. In 1999, the Vieille Villers brewery in Liezele is taken over. In operation .
