At the start of 1988, Interbrew had nine active production sites: Brassico in Mons, Krüger in Eeklo, Lamot in Mechelen, Wielemans-Ceupens in Forest, Martinas in Merchtem, Grade in Mont-Saint-Guibert and Dendria in Aalst in addition from Louvain and Jupille. McKinsey recommended keeping only three:
  • In 1988, Wielemans-Ceupens and Dendria were closed
  • In 1991, Martinas
  • In 1992, Krüger
  • In 1994, Lamot
  • In 1996, Grade
Take over the Belle-Vue brewery in 1990.

The brewing group AB Inbev, successor to Interbrew, currently has five production sites in Belgium : breweries Artois in Louvain, Piedboeuf in Jupille, Belle-Vue in Leeuw-St-Pierre, Bosteels in Buggenhout and Hoegaarden in Hoegaarden.
