Alphonse Granier was the first to take an interest in the curative virtues of the Bouilliens spring, in 1841, creating the Établissement thermal de Vergèze, the name given to the spring. In 1898, Louis Perrier bought the spring and transformed the Établissement thermal de Vergèze into Société des Eaux Minérales, Boissons et Produits Hygiéniques de Vergèze. Sir John Harmsworth bought Louis Perrier's shares in 1906 and gave the name of La Source Perrier company to society. 1936 La Source Perrier SA. Taken over, it is floated on the stock exchange.
