 | 1878 The brewer Eduardus Vanhonsebrouck-Paret builds a brewery in Ichtegem. 1895 Henri Sys buys the brewery from the Vanhonsebrouck family and calls the brewery De Engel (the Angel). 1933 Son son Octave succeeds him. 1935 Stopping of brewing, the site is used for the bottling of Rodenbach and Meiresonne beers as well as the sale of various drinks. 1948 Death of Octave, his widow and his children take over the beverage distribution company which closed in 2012.
