 | Before 1892 J. Hoeman runs a brewery in Merchtem. 1895 His wife takes over the operation. 1900 The Van Assche family buys the brewery. 1903 Changes its name to Brasserie J.-H. Van Assche-Demoor. 1939 Brouwerij Van Assche NV. In 1953, Alfons, husband of a Moortgat girl, took over the management of the brewery in cooperation with the Moortgat in Breendonk. 1966 The brewery is closed. Commercial Register R.C.
