Villers-Monople SA Villers-le-Gamb | |||
Established in 1939, it exploits two sources: a natural mineral water source, the Villers source and a spring water source, the Fagnes source. In the mid-1970s, the company was acquired by Coca-Cola Nederlands. The export of water by tanker trucks to the Netherlands gradually supplanted the bottling chain, which was then only running at idle. The spring was renamed and the waters and lemonades were then marketed under the Victoria brand. Around 1990, Pierre-Nicolas Defrecheux, a chemical engineer, and Eric Allegaert, a former salesman at the Brasserie des Ardennes bought the company from the Dutch and took over the commercial name of Villers. It is owned by the Financière Européenne des Eaux Minérale in Philippeville, itself linked to the French group Roxane Alma. In Operation. Commercial Register R.C.
