 | Germain Noffels starts a beer business and a small lemonade factory in the Wijnberghoek of Wevelgem. His daughter, Irène Noffels, and her stepson, Napoleone Bacelle, succeeded him after the Second World War, in 1948, and created the brand of lemonades VALPO. The beer business became a simple store. Nino Bacelle tried his hand at making beers from 1981 and took over, with his brother, the beer business and the lemonade factory in 1986. In 1989, the lemonade is closed and Nino's brother keeps the beer store which will close in 2013. Nino, for his part, creates his first beer in 1997 and creates the brewery De Ranke .
