 | Dairy established in 1895 by the Ruwet family in 1895. The dairy was remarkably successful between 1950 and 1970. It supplied a large number of schools in Wallonia, particularly with milk products under the Saivina. In addition to the classic chocolate milk, other flavors will be experimented with such as raspberry, pistachio and even pineapple milk. Around 1965, bottling will be subcontracted to the company Interlait from Dison. The Ruwet dairy still had about 25 workers in 1968. At the beginning of the 1970s, it suffered competition from the first beverage distributors installed in schools. It will gradually reduce its activities from 1971, to concentrate on the sale of milk in jugs and fresh cream to bakers and ice cream parlors. The activity was taken over in the early 1990s by the Schoonbroodt family from Aubel, which is still active today in the dairy product trade. Commercial Register Production Laits Saivina. | ||
