 | In 1934 Schweppes moved to Genval through the Martin family who owned the Martin brewery. The production plant was also active in the Château du Lac until 1981 when it was transferred to rue du Cerf. In 1988, the Martin group sold to the Cadbury-Schweppes group the Schweppes franchise it owned in Belgium; the production is then taken over by Schweppes Belgium.
