1830 first mention of a brewery in Lubbeek. 1838 Johannes Franciscus Van Hellemont (Van Helmont) is mentioned as owner of the Brouwerij van Hellemont. His wife was Anna Maria Edens, whose father probably founded the brewery. 1944 after the death of Jacobus Van Hellemont, his sons Etienne and Marcel Van Hellemont take over the business and produce Gold-Pils and Export beer. < br> 1966 The brewery is bought by the Verlinden family, who also own a factory in Herselt. SA Brouwerij Verlinden NV is registered. 1969 Takes over production of Ritchie lemonade from the Tielemans brewery in Aarschot. Stop production of Ritchie lemonades in 1979 (it will restart in 2017 thanks to the company Ritchie ). Take over by the brewery Biertoren to recover its production of table beers. Closed in 1985.
