1825 Balthazar Petrus Landtsheer is the first known owner of the De Halve Maan brewery in Baasrode. 1860 Franciscus Fredericus D'Hollander marries Rosalie Landtsheer and changes the name of the brewery to Brouwerij D'Hollander. 1938 The widow of Omer D'Hollander changes the name to Brouwerij Bacchus. In 1960 the name changes to Brouwerij van Baasrode NV. 1962 Takeover of the Princeps Limonade factory in Borgerhout near Antwerp. 1972 The brewery was taken over by the Piedboeuf brewery in Jupille, which closed the site the same year.
